The Idea – Analog, Slow, and Collaborative
The Camera Obscura, also called pinhole camera, is one of the most original forms of photography.
It works without any electricity, lens, or digital components – only light, time, and a tiny hole. Inspired by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce and his early experiments in light and heliography, you create your own long exposure image.
This process – also known as solargraphy – is ideal for capturing time outdoors, on windowsills or in classrooms. Exposure can last for days, weeks, or even months.
Ideal for Education, Groups, and Creative Projects
The 5-set pack is especially well suited for schools, universities, holiday programs, workshops or collaborative art projects with children and young people.
No prior knowledge is required – you don’t need chemicals or technical equipment. Just place the camera, let time and light do their work, send it back, and receive your image digitally in the growing global archive.
