M\u00e4rz 1765 in Chalon-sur-Sa\u00f4ne, Frankreich; \u2020 5. Juli 1833 in Saint-Loup-de-Varennes) gilt als einer der Pioniere der Fotografie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Er war der Bruder von Claude Ni\u00e9pce und hatte zudem eine Schwester. Zwischen 1789 und 1811 diente er als Offizier in der franz\u00f6sischen Armee. Von 1795 bis 1801 verwaltete er den Distrikt Nizza, bevor er sich in seiner Heimatstadt Saint-Loup-de-Varennes gemeinsam mit seinem Bruder mechanischen und chemischen Experimenten widmete. Dieses gelbliche Harz f\u00e4rbt sich unter Tageslicht gr\u00fcnlich und ist schwer in Alkohol l\u00f6slich. Es versprach daher eine M\u00f6glichkeit, dauerhafte Bilder zu schaffen. Allerdings reagierte es nur auf UV-Licht, das durch die Glaslinsen der Camera Obscura kaum hindurchdrang. So lie\u00dfen sich mit der Kamera selbst keine best\u00e4ndigen Aufnahmen machen, wohl aber Kontaktkopien im direkten Sonnenlicht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schlie\u00dflich experimentierte Ni\u00e9pce mit\u00a0<strong>Naturasphalt<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>Bitume de Jud\u00e9e<\/em>), einem dunklen, z\u00e4hen Mineral, das in der\u00a0<em>Mine du Parc<\/em>\u00a0bei Seyssel \u2013 unweit seines Wohnortes \u2013 gewonnen wurde. Er l\u00f6ste es in Lavendel\u00f6l, trug es d\u00fcnn auf Kupfer, Wei\u00dfblech oder Glas auf und h\u00e4rtete es auf einer hei\u00dfen Eisenplatte. Danach konnte das Material in der\u00a0<strong>Camera Obscura<\/strong> belichtet werden \u2013 mehrere Stunden in direkter Sonne oder mehrere Tage in der Kamera. Je nach Lichtmenge h\u00e4rteten die belichteten Stellen st\u00e4rker aus, w\u00e4hrend sich die weniger belichteten Bereiche mit einer Mischung aus Lavendel- und Petroleum\u00f6l auswaschen lie\u00dfen. Gemeinsam suchten sie nach Wegen, Bilder dauerhaft zu fixieren. Nach Ni\u00e9pces Tod im Jahr 1833 f\u00fchrte Daguerre die Versuche fort und entwickelte das nach ihm benannte&nbsp;<strong>Daguerreotypie-Verfahren<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>W\u00e4hrend Ni\u00e9pces&nbsp;<strong>Heliografie<\/strong>&nbsp;den entscheidenden Grundstein f\u00fcr die&nbsp;<strong>Fotografie<\/strong>&nbsp;legte, setzte sich schlie\u00dflich die Daguerreotypie durch. Sie war einfacher in der Handhabung, erm\u00f6glichte k\u00fcrzere&nbsp;<strong>Belichtungszeiten<\/strong>&nbsp;und lie\u00df sich besser vermarkten.
